Twinloc suspension system

The Spark ST 900 features the TwinLoc suspension system. The TwinLoc suspension system is a proprietary suspension system from SCOTT that can be remotely controlled by connecting the shock, fork and ultimately the frame via the handlebars. Using a remote control, the rider can choose between three riding modes: Descend, Traction Control and Lockout. This simultaneously adjusts the bike's geometry, suspension and damping, and spring characteristics.

With TwinLoc, you have three bikes in one. This is especially important for fast trail rides in varying terrain. You ride on gravel roads? For this, the lockout mode is perfect. Challenging singletrack or technical climbs where traction and power transfer are essential? Switch to traction control mode and off you go. Once you're at the top and the descent comes into focus, open up the suspension in downhill mode to take advantage of the Spark's many benefits.

Geometry and design

When it came to geometry, SCOTT's designers wanted the most dynamic of trail biking frames. So they developed a geometry that makes no sacrifices in efficiency nor when it comes to full throttle or to master technically difficult climbs. At the same time, this allows the athletes downhill a safe and confident ride. And the reactions show us that we have hit the nail right on the head. With a travel of 130 mm in front and a damper with a larger air volume in the rear, it offers a travel of 120 mm. The all-new Spark 900 makes riding really fun - on any terrain.

Cockpit

With the new Spark, you can also adjust the steering angle almost 0.6 degrees, either flatter or steeper. This is possible without damaging a cable or bleeding brakes later. All you have to do is disassemble the handlebars, rotate the headset 180 degrees and reassemble the handlebars. The new Spark frame has a completely new Fraser iC combo from Syncros. An integration of cables is a major challenge - the Fraser was designed to solve exactly that. The developers of Syncros have worked intensively on the form. Cables are routed under the handlebars and around the sides of the stem before disappearing into the headset with integrated plastic parts. This makes for a tidy and efficient cockpit. This way the cables don't get bent or kinked and the front end looks minimalist

HMF carbon fiber

HMF carbon fiber is used when stiffness needs to be maximized and weight kept down. This optimal material composition guarantees stiffness and strength for the best riding experience. The expertise of SCOTT engineers is used for the perfect coating in terms of alignment and fiber size. The HMF fibers provide superior strength compared to industrial standards.
