The SLX M7100 series was developed for just those enthusiastic mountain bikers who want to explore new paths and adapts - typical Shimano - the technologies of the high-end group XTR. These innovations include 12-speed drive, Micro Spline and Hyperglide +, which have already proven themselves in the big sister Deore XT.

Shimano SLX BL-M7100 brake lever

The hydraulic SLX BL-M7100 brake lever is characterized by Shimano's SERVOWAVE technology, which ensures particularly good dosing. Due to the fact that the brake lever takes up a lot of braking distance right at the beginning of its movement, the brake pads make contact with the brake disc faster and more lever travel remains to modulate the braking force. Accordingly, SERVO WAVE brake systems impress with faster response, higher performance and shorter idle travel.

In design, the SLX brake lever follows the XTR model and is mounted accordingly not parallel to the handlebar, but at an angle, so that it is supported in addition to the clamp still at a second point on the handlebar and is thus significantly stiffer than before. For individual adjustment, the lever is equipped with a tool-free grip width adjustment option. Thanks to I-Spec EV design, the SLX SL-M7100-I shift levers can be mounted directly on the brake lever.
