Nearly three decades in, the Deore XT brand is defined by its trail-tested durability, reliability and performance. As mountainbiking becomes faster and faster and the terrain even more technical, the M8100 series aims to give the rider the necessary feeling of confidence and safety.

Following the principle of passing on the experiences and technologies of the top series, the Deore XT incorporates the innovations of the high-end XTR components. Accordingly the new 12-speed groupset features of course Micro Spline and Hyperglide+.

Shimano Deore XT brake set consisting of the BL-T8100 3-finger brake lever and the BR-M8100 2-piston caliper. The result of the combination is a solid brake performance in any condition. Trouble-free maintenance is provided by the proven One Way Bleeding concept and the Easy Hose Joint System which simplifies brake hose exchanges.

J-Kit (Easy Hose Joint System)

At brake systems with J-Kit hose joint the brake lever features an integrated olive what makes an easy brake hose installation and removal possible.

Shimano Deore XT Trekking BL-T8100 brake lever

The Shimano Deore XT BL-T8100 brake lever provides greater stopping power and intuitive modulation, especially tuned for Trekking E-Bikes. Its longer 3-finger lever blade features better ergonomics for optimum control. Thanks to the I-Spec II design the compatible shifting levers can be mounted directly to the brake lever. The lever's reach is individually adjustable without the use of any additional tools. The Deore XT Trekking brake lever is suitable for both 2- and 4-piston calipers.

Shimano Deore XT BR-M8100 disc brake caliper

The Shimano Deore XT BR-M8100 Postmount brake caliper is with its 2-piston construction perfect for Cross Country use. Compared to its predecessor a quicker piston retraction leads to superior modulation what results in an improved braking control. The brake pads in combination with the light 2-piston caliper guarantee extremely good deceleration and low weight at the same time.
