Shimano Deore XT M8100 - The world is your canvas.
The original MTB group continues its legacy of remaining the standard for mountainbikers everywhere. Nearly three decades in, the Deore XT brand is defined by its trail-tested durability, reliability and performance. As mountainbiking becomes faster and faster and the terrain even more technical, the M8100 series aims to give the rider the necessary feeling of confidence and safety.
Following the principle of passing on the experiences and technologies of the top series, the Deore XT incorporates the innovations of the high-end XTR components. Accordingly the new 12-speed groupset features of course Micro Spline and Hyperglide+.

Shimano Deore XT SL-M8100 Rapidfire Plus shifting lever
The Shimano Deore XT SL-M8100 shift lever allows quick and easy shifting, so the rider can solely focus on the Trail ahead. Compared to its predecessor, the SL-M8000, the shifting operation force could be reduced by 35 % while the main lever access is now 20 % faster thanks to a clever design. In addition, the lever's rubberized contact surface ensures maximum ergonomics.
The
I-Spec EV construction already familiar from the XTR M9100 has also found its way into the Deore XT M8100 components. With this technology the shifting levers can be mounted directly to the brake lever, what makes it possible to dispense with a clamp and to significantly increase the adjustment range. I-Spec EV allows 14 mm for longitudinal and 60° for rotational adjustment so that each rider can make a setup to suit his or her individual anatomy or preferences.
Proven features such as Rapidfire Plus, 2-Way-, Instant- and Multi-Release have of course been adopted by the SL-M8100 shifting levers from its predecessors.
Shimano Deore XT RD-M8100-SGS Shadow RD+ rear derailleur
The Deore XT RD-M8100-SGS rear derailleur provides fast and precise shifting operations over a wide gear range. Guide and tension pulleys with 13 teeth and sealed bearings as well as a rubber damper reduce noise and increase ride comfort. They also improve the chain's grip under all conditions.
Shimano Deore XT CS-M8100 cassette
The Shimano Deore XT CS-M8100 cassette features the
Hyperglide+ technology which guarantees high shifting speed, precision and smoothness when shifting up and down and contributes to an extremely quiet drivetrain.
The 10-51 teeth cassette covers a wide gear range and has an aluminium spider construction. The two largest sprockets are made of aluminium as well. This not only reduces the weight, but improves also robustness and longevity.
Shimano Deore XT CN-M8100 chain
The Deore XT chain has been optimized from the ground up and is an integral part of the new 12-speed drivetrain. With its high precision formed contact surfaces to
Dynamic Chain Engagement+ chainring and
Hyperglide+ cassette teeth, the Shimano Deore XT CN-M8100 chain provides fast, precise and smooth shifting in both directions even under highest loads. Chrome-plated inner plates increase the durability noticeably.
