After the mountain bike flagship XTR has already set benchmarks and Deore XT and SLX have followed suit, the Deore M6100 now rounds off Shimano's 12-speed lineup. It is complemented by the components of the M5100 and M4100 series which will equip 11- and 10-speed drivetrains at the same high level.

Regarding the price, the current Shimano Deore groups are positioned in the entry-level range, but are not prepared to compromise in terms of performance, quality and reliability. Almost everything that the high end groups XTR, XT and SLX have to offer in terms of technology, innovation, performance and range of functions, you will find in the Deore components, too.

Shimano Deore RFD-M5100 Side Swing front derailleur

Thanks to Side Swing technology, the Shimano Deore FD-M5100 front derailleur delivers quiet and smooth shifting. Its improved design offers enhanced cable routing for more powerful upshifting, light action operations and increased clearance for short chain stays and larger wheels (max. 2.3" tire width). In addition, a wider traction range reduces chain rub at rear suspension bikes. The Side Swing derailleur adapts chain lines between 48.8 and 51.8 mm and is therefore also compatible with Boost O.L.D.

The Deore 2x11-speed front derailleur is available as E-Type (FD-M5100-E) and Direct Mount (FD-M5100-D) version as well as for the middle clamp position (FD-M5100-M).
