But the SL-M820 relies also on tried and tested technologies and that's why it features again 2-Way, Multi and Instant Release which allow a fast and crisp shifting. In addition the 10-speed shifting lever offers the clever I-Spec B mounting system. Dual sealed bearings contribute furthermore to a smoother, less effort shift.
Technologies Shimano Saint SL-M820:
I-Spec B is an integrated mounting system for brake and shifting levers. It just needs one bracket which saves space, provides a cleaner look and saves about 10 grams of weight. Furthermore the adjustability in horizontal direction offers an optimized individual setup.
The lever features the new handlebar-clearing I-spec B mounting. It is only compatible to I-Spec B! Not compatible to I-Spec A or I-Spec II!
Instant Release allows quicker shifts as it instantly releases the cable when the trigger is activated.
2-Way Release makes different riding or shifting styles (finger or thumb) from various riding positions possible. The upper lever still performs the same function, but now it swings both ways. Pull it with your finger or push it with your thumb - you choose.
With Multi Release you can shift four gears at once and in both directions by just pushing or pulling the lever.
Note: The shifting lever is used to be mounted on the right side of the handlebar.
