The user-friendly GPS bike computer is a bike navigation system for anyone who wants to discover the world. On forest floor, gravel, or asphalt, the compact (110-gram) bike computer's multifaceted map navigation functions identify the best route and get the cyclist to his destination reliably. The ROX 12.1 EVO comes with lots of pre-installed country maps. The bike computer is ready to go as soon as it is unpacked! A SIGMA-specific map display ensures that cyclists can find their way around. The maps highlight bike paths and trails, and always take them to the best track, no matter where they are or what bike they are using.
The compressed maps require little storage, so a number of areas around the world can be stored permanently.
More maps and regular updates can be downloaded with WiFi free of charge.
Simply enter an address or routing to a point on the map or a point of interest (POI) – the ROX 12.1 EVO's navigation possibilities are limitless. The ROX 12.1 EVO uses home navigation to always find the quickest way home. The "Back-to-Start" function takes cyclists to the beginning of the tour − on the same track if they want. The multifaceted navigation functions can be used without the ROX being connected to the internet or a smart phone, of course.
Cyclists can decide for themselves the criteria the route should meet. They can choose among the recommended route, the easiest, and the shortest. The altitude profile is also displayed for each. Route preferences (bike paths, main roads, dirt roads) can also be specified individually for each sport profile. If cyclists spontaneously deviate from the suggested track, the ROX 12.1 EVO will quickly plan a new path to the destination − including re-calculating distance, altitude profile, and predicted arrival time.
During navigation, the three-inch display shows the track and turn-by-turn instructions. A pop-up window with an acoustic signal indicates the next turn. The distance to the next turn-off and the street name are also displayed.
Tracks are imported from portals such as Strava and komoot or as a .gpx file into the free SIGMA RIDE app. Tracks can now be called up in a clear format at any time, synchronized with the ROX 12.1 EVO, and started. The ROX 12.1 EVO can also used to plan tours for the next cycling vacation and saved in the track list. The "Draw my Route" function is a unique feature for all those who like to be surprised. Just draw one or more lines on the map, and the ROX 12.1 EVO will create a suggested route with altitude profile.
The six pre-defined and up to 20 other customizable sport profiles prepare the ROX 12.1 EVO for any bike adventure.
Within individual sport profiles, cyclists specify training views, trail preferences, and alarms. The ROX 12.1 EVO's six training views give them maximum flexibility. They can configure the views as they wish and highlight the data fields with different colours. And the training views can be changed easily during a ride. The ROX 12.1 EVO also has views for workout, navigation, FE-C smart trainer, and laps.
The ROX 12.1 EVO helps structure training. The most important workouts are already pre-installed. Cyclists can also upload workouts from portals such as TrainingPeaks to the ROX 12.1 EVO. Just import them with the RIDE app and start training!
ANT+ and BLE make it extremely easy to reliably connect the ROX 12.1 EVO to external sensors for measuring speed, cadence, and heart rate. It can also be paired with other sensors such as electronic gear changing systems, radar, smart trainer, or power meter (TSS®, NP®, IF®, OCA, or OCP).
The ROX 12.1 EVO can be paired easily with many e-bikes and show specific values such as range, battery level, and support level, depending on the e-system connected. The display can also show the gear change recommendation for the motor, saving the cyclist energy and battery charge.
Routes can be planned on third-party portals such as komoot and loaded directly to the SIGMA RIDE app on the ROX 12.1 EVO. Successes and special experiences can be quickly shared to social media platforms such as Strava, komoot, TrainingPeaks, Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp. Apple Health is integrated, so users of the SIGMA RIDE app for iOS can also share their routes and training values there as well.
Besides quick on-device assessment, the free SIGMA RIDE app for iOS and Android can assess your tours in detail – anywhere, anytime. The app transfers data from the ROX 12.1 EVO to a smart phone via BLE, collects training data, and shows statistics for the last few weeks, months, or even years. Graphic profiles and heat maps visualize performance on the route, making outlying values easy to detect. The RIDE app is a smart companion for the ROX 12.1 EVO and helps adjust the device more conveniently, manage tracks from various platforms, and transfer them to your ROX 12.1 EVO.
The Crash Alert built into the ROX 12.1 EVO automatically detects a fall and gives the rider 30 seconds to confirm that everything is OK. If there is no confirmation, the SIGMA RIDE app automatically sends an SMS to emergency contacts and gives them the GPS data. Smart notifications connect the smart phone to the ROX 12.1 EVO even during a ride. The RIDE app can be used to load Strava Live segments to your ROX 12.1 EVO so that the cyclist can measure himself against other riders. For optimum energy supply during competition and training, the ROX 12.1 EVO reminds the cyclist to eat and drink. Another individual alarm can be provided with a customized text.
Switch it on, and you immediately know where to go: Large buttons and a clean, modern design make the ROX 12.1 EVO very user-friendly. Optimized typography makes it very easy to read. The practical shortcut menu shows relevant functions such as Back-to-Start and battery charge and adapts dynamically when a sensor is paired, for instance. Navigation favorites, recent destination, and preferred locations can be viewed quickly in the favourites menu. The displayed training values can be changed at any time during a ride – without ending the current data display.
Change the display view, zoom in and out, calculate a track, or re-route: The ROX 12.1 EVO's powerful hardware makes using it easy and lightning fast. The bright display is perfectly attuned to outdoor use. Whether the sun is shining or little light is available, the transflective display with smart backlight ensures that the data are always easy to read. The touch display can be used reliably in all situations and can detect rain, preventing blocking due to raindrops. The ROX 12.1 EVO's tough housing and display can handle minor falls. It is protected from dust and water (IP67). GNSS provides up to 99 channels for checking current position. This ensures the fastest possible position fix.
The Long Butler included in delivery gives your ROX 12.1 EVO the ideal position on your handlebars. It can be mounted on handlebars with diameters from 25.4 to 31.8 mm in a few easy steps. Special 3D rubber pads allow the bike computer to be straightened out even on curved handlebars.
