Trail Runner Free 2 Ultra is a comfortable and lightweight headlamp without annoying cables - for those who love to run. Its features and light beam are optimized for the needs of runners. Hybrid battery compartment included
The hybrid battery compartment can hold either the rechargeable Silva hybrid battery pack or 3 x AAA batteries (not included). This means that the AAA batteries can be used as a backup in case you run out of battery. The case has non-slip surfaces and an integrated red safety light - for added visibility.

Long range battery included
In addition to the hybrid battery compartment that gives you multiple battery options, the Trail Runner Free 2 Ultra comes with a rechargeable, long-lasting 4.0 Ah (14.8 Wh) Battery Pack neatly housed in a soft case with multiple attachments. The 4.0 Ah (14.8 Wh) battery is perfect for longer burn time on longer runs. The battery has a 4-stage battery level indicator and can be charged anywhere with the included USB cable.

Customized light distribution
With the 2nd generation Trail Runner Free, cooling has been optimized with a more powerful cooler that allows the light to produce up to 550 lumens (depending on battery type) while maintaining its comfort and light weight. Ultra runners were a key part of the design process and the Trail Runner Free 2 series is designed with running in mind in every way. All three headlamps in this series feature Silva Intelligent Light. This means that you get dual light beam technology in your headlamp, with light settings that are perfect for running. The unique combination of a long range headlamp and a close floodlight results in less head movement, better control, improved balance, less fatigue and increased speed.

Comfort down to the smallest detail
Although Silva focuses on technological breakthroughs, they have not forgotten the importance of optimizing weight. Every part of this headlamp has been compressed and the headlamp unit weighs only 61 grams (without batteries). The headlamp is perfectly balanced, easily adjustable and has a flat, soft textile extension cable that does not tangle. The headband is soft yet firm enough, with a silicone band on the inside to stay in place. The battery can be worn comfortably on the headband or kept warm in your pocket with the included textile extension cable to extend battery life.

Choose Trail Runner Free 2 Ultra if you want to get in some really long workouts with its 4.0 Ah (14.8 Wh) long-distance battery. With Free 2 Ultra, you also get the Hybrid Battery Compartment, which can be used with either 3 x AAA batteries or one Hybrid Battery (1.25 Ah/4.6 Wh).
