The shaft is cut slightly higher. So cold air and snow have no chance to penetrate. Insulation down to minus 15 degrees is provided by a special insole. It reflects the cold from the ground and stores the heat released by the foot. The water vapor permeable Gore-Tex Partelana lining keeps the foot dry even on sweaty tours and keeps moisture out. The rubber compound of the tread sole is optimized for cold temperatures and thus particularly grippy.
