S-Works Torch – Engineered to Disappear

Even in the S-Works version, the Torch continues the traditional fit with a classic, elegant design. An in-house composition of supple and adaptable materials with a sandwich of different materials in certain areas provides the rider with not only sufficient support, but also added comfort.

A snug fit provides explosive power delivery and is thanks to the carbon baseplate, which is designed for maximum stiffness and is another 20 grams lighter than the S-Works 7. In contrast, the S-Works Torch's asymmetrical design, which places the upper slightly lower over the smaller toes, provides improved foot-pedal feel.

In addition to the standard fit, the Specialized S-Works Torch is available in a wider version.

Varus Wedge | With an integrated 1.5 mm Varus Wedge on the inside of the foot, Body Geometry shoes stabilize the natural movement of the forefoot and improve foot, knee and hip alignment. This increases power output and extends time to exhaustion at maximum effort by an average of 10 seconds.

Longitudinal Arch | The foot is built like a leaf spring. Great for running, bad for pedaling. Body Geometry shoes feature patented arch support in the outsole to create a rigid structure that – paired with customizable insoles – prevents the foot from collapsing and increases performance.

Metatarsal Button | By lifting and spreading the bones of the forefoot, Specialized's so-called Metatarsal Button prevents pinching and compression of adjacent nerves and arteries. Thus, well-known foot problems such as hot spots and numbness are a thing of the past.
