Details on SRAM Rival 22 DoubleTap

The mechanical Rival 22 DoubleTap levers were developed on the model of the RED 22 levers - the SRAM top group. They are equipped with brake as well as shift levers made of aluminum and use the same mechanics as the RED 22 levers for optimal shifting performance. They adopt performance features such as DoubleTap, ZeroLoss, individual ReachAdjust.

Thanks to ErgoFit the design, which is also used in Force 22 and Red 22 levers, these levers also particularly convince in terms of ergonomics. The textured covers provide an improved grip structure and optimum grip. Another outstanding technology of the Rival 22 is Yaw. It allows in combination with a Yaw compatible derailleur to rotate with the oblique position of the chain. This eliminates the trim function with confusing intermediate steps.

DoubleTap allows a gear change that will change the way you ride. The single lever design saves weight while limiting shift lever movement to one direction of motion. High-precision Zero-Loss shifting technology, where every shift is initiated at the front without the slightest delay, brings further performance benefits. The individual ReachAdjust grip width adjustment of brake and shift levers is now even easier to access with a standard Allen key and the brake shift levers can be adjusted quickly and easily for any hand size. The ErgoBlade brake lever is slightly longer than the previous DoubleTap levers and therefore easier to reach from the lower handlebar grips.

The textured ErgoFit body has a completely new design with a smaller diameter and its improved shape makes it easier to control and grip and provides a better transition to the handlebar.

Notes:

Only compatible with SRAM 11-speed rear derailleurs Red 22, Force 22 or Rival 22. For best shifting performance, please use the 2-speed Rival 22 lever with YAW front derailleurs only. Not compatible with rear derailleurs from other manufacturers.
