Every mountain biker is different and therefore the CONTACT CNC is offered in the versions Small (shoe size 36-41) and Large (> 41). In addition, double-sided PINS are installed in the pedal, which are screwed in the delivery state with the short side up. If someone likes it particularly aggressive, the PINS can be turned around and extended by 1.3mm. Thus, the pedal can be adapted not only to the shoe size, but also to preferences regarding aggressiveness.
The Tatze CONTACT CNC Large was designed for maximum stability and nevertheless the large pedal is light with 354g. The version Small has been optimized for the requirements of smaller and lighter riders and impresses with a weight of only 298g. Undesired ground contact avoids the pedal by a thin construction and the open design allows dirt to fall through the pedal.
Both versions have a high-quality IGUS JSM plain bearing inside and 2 side by side installed deep groove ball bearings outside. For sealing, 2 double lip seal rings are installed, which shield the bearings from dirt and moisture. The bearing and seal unit makes the pedal sustainable in terms of a long service life. In addition, bearings and seals can be renewed in 5 minutes with the optionally available refresh kit to set the clock back to 0.
