The BYB is no ordinary folding bike – it represents a whole new way of folding a bike. It's 30% smaller than previous Tern 20" folding bikes – and small and slim enough to fit comfortably in lockers, cupboards or small corners.

It's no coincidence that the S11 shifts with a high-quality road bike rear derailleur and rolls on lightweight aero wheels. The top model of the BYB series makes everything a little faster, more compact, smarter and more comfortable when riding, pushing, folding and stowing. In the BYB S11, the developers at Tern have combined only the best technologies – and that should finally express itself when starting after each traffic light stop.

TriFold Technology

TFL Joint
Based on organically formed, strength-optimised forgings, the TFL Joint is Tern's most advanced frame joint to date - featuring a range of critical technologies.

Physis RF
3D-forged steering tube – the key component contributing to the BYB's stiff and agile ride.

Metro Transit Rack
Roll the BYB like a rolling suitcase and maneuver it through crowded train stations or bus stops. The Metro Transit Rack supports up to 20kg and also allows the BYB to be parked vertically.

Anchor Bolt
When folded, the BYB frame is held in place by this sturdy, patented mechanism - totally secure whether carrying, pulling or pushing. The BYB has inherited key technologies - twin-tube frame construction and voluminous trapezoidal tube cross-sections - from the GSD to ensure extra rigidity and durability.

Combo Mount
This robust mount also comes from the Cargobike GSD. A variety of different racks, bags and baskets can be mounted on the Combo Mount – and transport any kind of luggage.
