As a V2 update, it received a completely redesigned mesh upper with very good ventilation and fine microfiber support structure. The ZipFoam midsole, which has now grown to 33/28mm, is made of the newly developed composite material of TPU and EVA and offers different degrees of hardness. The special feature of ZipFoam® is the extremely low memory effect over the entire life of the shoe in conjunction with significant weight advantages and a remarkably high agility in the run. The lightweight sole, also newly developed for the Phantom 2, was designed for road running and has a comparatively simple structure to build up friction only when necessary - but otherwise to absorb the runner's weight as evenly as possible. The Ortholite® footbed also adds another layer of comfort, making the Phantom 2 the most comfortable Topo in its class.
