The Mule is a single-track, suspension cargo trailer that lets you haul your gear on trips around town or on a world tour. The lightweight, durable CrMo steel frame construction ensures easy handling without sacrificing stability when fully loaded. The suspension is highly adjustable and allows for easy adjustment of suspension travel, center of gravity, and damping to suit the terrain and load. The Mule has a load capacity of up to 38 kg (80-100 liters). It is suitable for asphalt roads to technically demanding off-road routes. The drawbar with shaft joint ensures a firm, stable connection and smooth running even in the roughest conditions. On tour, the Mule becomes a faithful companion and transforms many a mountain bike into a touring vehicle. When the "base camp" is then reached, the trailer can be disconnected and the sporty day trips can be covered on a mountain bike. With optional accessories like the kickstand, inner bag, rain cover, fender and waterproof duffel bag, you can customize the Mule to fit your riding needs.

Chassis

Several constructive elements contribute to the tilting technology. Besides the coupling and the universal joint, this is especially the single track of all trailers. These travel behind the towing bicycle as if on rails and, apart from the weight, are hardly noticeable. Especially in curves, they lean into the curve with you and don't slow you down, as is the case with two-wheeled trailers. Furthermore, curbs are not a risk and the trailer can not fall over due to the centrifugal forces in the curve, which increases driving safety. For the passenger, or the load, this has the identical effect - because the low centrifugal forces noticeably improve driving comfort and safety.

Suspension

Adjustable suspension travel - The suspension travel is adjustable via two different damper positions, varying by 40mm. By reducing the suspension travel, you can move the trailer's center of gravity further down for an even more stable ride. The position with lower suspension travel is particularly suitable for use on asphalt, light terrain or gravel. The maximum suspension travel is recommended for trail use and rough terrain, as this also increases ground clearance.

Adjustable air suspension strut - The high-quality oil/air suspension element is finely adjustable in terms of rebound damping and air pressure. This allows the trailer's handling to be precisely adjusted to the required loads - for optimum adaptation of comfort and handling to the off-road characteristics. The damper is lightweight yet robust and requires little maintenance.

Wide range of transport options

Extreme variability characterizes the frame of the Mule trailer. Through bottle cage eyelets, which are attached to all four corners, you have the maximum freedom to attach bottle cages or other suitable accessories. The tube dimensions are designed so that you can attach panniers to the outside of the Mule, multiplying your cargo capacity. The cargo area of the Mule can be equipped with an inner pocket which allows you to transport loose items. The rain cover protects your luggage from moisture and dirt. Alternatively, you can use the waterproof Ortlieb Duffle with 85L volume.

Compatibility

29" compatible - All trailers from Tout Terrain are compatible with most 29" mountain bikes. Limitations arise only when combining very small 29" frames with very low seatposts or dropper posts.

E-bike compatible - All trailers from Tout Terrain are compatible with e-bikes and e-mountain bikes. However, please note that the range of your e-bike will be reduced by the additional weight when using a trailer.

Each frame is painted with tough and high quality T-Coat powder coating.

Frame

Mule Cargo Steel Frame - The lightweight and extremely strong frame of the Mule is made of high quality CrMo tubing. The material used provides an optimal ratio of external dimensions, weight and cargo capacity, which is 38kg. The frame is repairable in the event of a defect while traveling due to the good weldability of the material.
