This storm-proof stove system is based on simplicity. Two windshields that fit together, a gas burner, a couple of pans, a combined lid/frypan and a handle. The stove is lightweight and reliable, without unnecessary parts that can go wrong or be adversely affected by cold. The stove is quick to set up, and packs into a compact unit that takes up minimal space. Trangia's Series 25 includes somewhat larger stoves suitable for groups of about 3-4 people.
Aluminium is a lightweight material that conducts heat well. Trangia's aluminium stove systems spreads heat quickly and evenly. This means that food does not burn and stick to the material. The hard surface makes the systems very resistant to scratching and wear. Ultralight aluminium is 50% stronger than ordinary aluminium. Consequently, less material is required which makes the stove systems lighter.
The gas burner is easy to use, has fast boiling times and keeps the pans soot free. It is a universal gas burner, with cartridges available in most countries around the world. The gas burner fits all stoves except for the Mini Trangia. Fits with all propane/ butane gas cartridges with EN417 compatible threaded valves. These cartridges are available in most countries around the world.
Boils 1 litre of water in 3.5 min (varies according to weather and quality of fuel). It burns 150 g gas per hour with full effect.
