Bomber Z1 – Coil it a Comeback.

Marzocchi has answered the call for an MTB fork that lives up to the legacy of the first Bomber Z1 from the 1990s. Equipped with a coil spring, it was one of the co-founders of the Freeride movement. The current model also relies on a coil spring, but its spring is super-light, made from a hardened silicon-chrome steel alloy and wrapped to prevent rattling noises on the trail.

Rough braking bumps or big jumps? No problem! The Bomber Z1 Coil irons everything out with its rich ride feel, as only a coil spring can. But that's not all, because this suspension fork combines the best of both worlds: the buttery smoothness of a coil spring and the comprehensive functionality of air suspension. Accordingly, an integrated Air Assist air chamber in the lower section of the travel provides more progression and prevents bottoming out. All in all, this results in better traction, less arm fatigue and extreme resistance.

Meanwhile, the Sweep Adjust compression adjustment of the GRIP damping allows the suspension to be fully locked out or opened up to handle both climbs and high-speed downhills with ease. GRIP | This damping unit is inspired by motorcycling and combines the GRIP damper with the sealed FIT damper cartridge (Fox Isolated Technology). The internal separating piston is preloaded with a steel spring. This system allows excess oil to flow out through a special opening in the upper damper area. This keeps the damping constant at all times and increases durability at the same time. The 2-position Sweep lever is steplessly adjustable and functions as a combined Low/High-Speed compression setting, from completely open to completely closed (Lockout).
