Thanks to a new internal construction, the Shimano DH-UR705 hub dynamo is not only extremely compact, but also lighter than the DH-T8000 dynamo of the Deore XT Trekking series. With its low weight, it is ideal for use in the urban jungle or on a road bike.

The DH-UR705's running characteristics are characterized above all by low rolling resistance, which it owes to reworked ring magnets as well as angular contact ball bearings and conical bearings, making it 44 % more efficient than the DH-T8000 hub dynamo. Meanwhile, contact seals provide lasting protection against external influences.

The hub dynamo delivers a voltage of 6 volts at 3 watts of power. The E2 type electric power output connector is compliant with German StVZO.
