Has the lever lost its spring? Unfortunately, ungrateful incidents such as accidents, damage or attempted theft also occur in everyday use. However, sometimes it is not obvious when or how a deformation was caused. Normally, the lever is given a slight preload before assembly. This means that the lever is the spring and the pin is just a bearing surface in which it rotates. With enough force, the lever can be deformed or even torn out of its mount and lost.

It is possible to repair a lever yourself if you have a little skill with a screw clamp. Note that the shape of the lever is highly tolerated and critical, so Spurcycle recommends a replacement. When ordering a lever, a 3D printed plastic tool is now included which makes installing a new lever very easy.
