Shimano Shadow-shifting system - protected shifting

Shimano originally developed this technology for mountain bikes to protect the exposed rear derailleur from contact with Trail obstacles and thus make it more durable. "Shadow" means that the rear derailleur "hides" under the chain stay, i.e. sits closer to the spokes - and this is also useful on a folding bike: when the folded bike is transported in the train, bus or car boot, the sensitive rear derailleur is less at risk this way.

Physis™ 3D steering column - The new benchmark

Five patented technologies and unique manufacturing processes result in the most stable and rigid steering column from Tern. The Physis™ 3D steering column is made from a single piece of aluminium using a special 3D forging process, which eliminates the need for welds.
