The MET Design Lab, which is part of the Research and Development department, is constantly dedicated to researching unique and outstanding solutions. The Drone Wide Body is MET's 100th helmet model since the company was founded in 1987, inheriting a long line of helmets that have shaped the history of modern cycling. Its structure is the result of extensive research, which made it possible to test numerous approaches, first and foremost virtually. The results obtained were then tested in practice, first in the wind tunnel, then on the track and finally on the road. The design stands out from the usual shapes of this type of helmet and thus enables an impressive reduction in air resistance.

The unique aerodynamic wide-body design of the MET Drone reduces drag and turbulence around the shoulders. This can potentially save a race-decisive 10 watts at 50 km/h.

The MET Mag-Clip-Shield was specially developed for maximum aerodynamics. Its strong yet flat magnets hold the visor securely in place in any situation. Thanks to the anti-fog coating, a clear view is guaranteed under all circumstances.
