The scenic and at the same time challenging roads of Northern California not only attract numerous cyclists to Santa Cruz County every year, they also give their name to the road bike cranks from Praxis Works. Accordingly, the 4 miles of winding asphalt and 1,800 feet of brutal climbing of Alba Road were the inspiration for the model with the well-shaped crank arms made of forged aluminium. With its Narrow/Wide tooth profile, the DM1X aluminium chainring not only ensures maximum chain retention, thanks to the 3-Bolt Direct Mount interface, the 1-speed crankset can also be quickly and easily converted to a 2-speed drivetrain system.

Cold Forged | Praxis Works uses a special cold forging process for all its chainrings, which allows more complex shaping for the tooth profile. Since so-called "One-Shot" process makes it possible to increase the amount of shifting aids on the chainring, which would hardly be possible with conventional CNC manufacturing processes. Over 1,000 tons of pressure create an extremely hard and tough surface that offers maximum durability. Individual tooth profiles, changing tooth angles, synchronized lanes and tactically placed shift ramps are the features that ensure smooth shifting.
