microSHIFT SWORD is a modern 2x10-speed gravel groupset for use with mechanical disc brakes.
microSHIFT SWORD crankset is designed for climbing. The two chainrings have a 17 teeth gap between them, so you get a lower gear range than competitive cranks while still having high gears to push the pace downhill. And it’s designed to be as compatible and easy to own as possible: the 24mm spindle is compatible with a ton of aftermarket bottom brackets, and it’s easy to convert from a 2x to a 1x crank by simply installing a single chain-retaining ring in the outer position. The wide design is optimized for 47mm chainline.
microSHIFT SWORD rear derailleur features a modern and innovative design with elegant mechanical operation. The cage is designed to use with a single chainring and an 11-38 teeth cassette, giving you a wide range and excellent climbing gears. Not only that, but the cage itself is replaceable, so you can repair a damaged cage or even switch to the 1x cage easily. It also features a hidden clutch design with instant engagement and silent operation to keep the chain secure over rough terrain. With the introduction of Igus bushings on the parallelogram, lateral stiffness and longevity are both improved, making shifting snappier and more robust. Even the barrel adjuster is innovative, with an orbital housing stop that rotates by 15 degrees to reduce cable friction from tight housing bends.
microSHIFT SWORD front derailleur helps to give you the range and climbing gears you need to tackle big rides. Compatible with a 17-teeth gap between chainrings, the SWORD front derailleur allows you to run an inner chainring as low as 29-teeth. And, it has innovative features that make it easy to work on, like compatibility with full cable routing, and a built in cable tension adjuster.
Ergonomic microSHIFT SWORD drop bar shifter pair modern features with analog operation. The lever body has a gradually rounded outer edge that’s designed to pair well with flared handlebars, giving you the comfort and control you need even on rough terrain. The hoods and shift levers have raised traction patterns to ensure solid grip whether you wear gloves or not. The brake lever has a higher pivot point and pull more cable than the average road lever, making your mechanical disc or rim brakes feel stronger and easier to control. With every detail this dialed, you’ll forget the shifters are even there.
With a wider than normal 11-38 teeth gear range, it’s clear that the microSHIFT SWORD cassette is made for climbing. It’s also made to be as compatible and durable as possible. It fits on a standard freehub body, so there’s no need to upgrade existing wheels to a new standard. And the satin nickel finish is designed to look as good after a month of riding as it did on the day you bought it.
