After the mountain bike flagship XTR has already set standards and Deore XT and SLX have followed suit, the Deore M6100 now rounds off Shimano's 12-speed lineup. It is complemented by components from the M5100 and M4100 series, which will equip 11-speed and 10-speed drivetrains at the same high level.
Priced in the entry-level range, the current Shimano Deore groupsets are not prepared to compromise in terms of performance, quality and reliability. Almost everything that characterizes the big siblings in terms of technology, innovation, performance and range of functions can also be found in the Deore components.
With its precisely shaped contact surfaces to the Dynamic Chain Engagement+ chainring and Hyperglide+ cassette teeth, the Shimano Deore CN-M6100 chain ensures fast, precise and smooth shifting in both directions, even under the highest loads. The SIL-TEC coated inner plates also noticeably increase durability.
Dynamic Chain Engagement+ is a special tooth profile that was developed for use on 1x chainring configurations for XC, Enduro and trail riding. It provides improved chain guidance and thus enables a smoother ride - even on uneven terrain. The chain guide of each individual tooth reduces wear on the entire profile.
Conventional Hyperglide technology ensures smooth upshifting thanks to small shifting ramps that guide the chain towards the next larger sprocket. Hyperglide+ adopts this function, but also applies it in the opposite direction to prevent the chain from dropping when shifting down. The result is smooth and consistent shifting in both directions, free from vibrations and without throwing off the cadence.
SIL-TEC is a superior, advanced coating process that improves system performance through the use of embedded fluorine particles. SIL-TEC products run smoother and show less wear under all conditions.
