The Ekar GT disc brake combines ergonomically shaped brake levers with excellently modulated brake calipers – for an unmistakable feel that perfectly transmits the nature of the terrain to the rider.

In order to offer the rider even more operating comfort over both short and long distances, the optimization of ergonomics was a top priority in the development of the Ergopower levers. At the same time, the well-known advantages of the Vari-Cushion™ rubber grips have been retained: outstanding comfort and precision as well as a secure hold in any position and under all conditions.

To further increase grip and therefore control on demanding Gravel courses, the hoods have an additional texture. Thanks to its high wear resistance – to sweat, dirt and cleaning agents –, the laser pattern also benefits long-distance suitability. Another improvement is the increased adjustment range for the brake lever distance, which allows individual adjustment to the size of the hand and fingers in order to meet the requirements of the respective riding style best.

The right-hand Ekar GT lever not only fulfills the braking function, but also controls the 13-speed rear derailleur with the help of the internal Ultra-Shift™ shifting mechanism. Campagnolo's proven "One-Lever-One-Action" philosophy with its principle of differentiated lever actuation guarantees excellent control even in difficult off-road environments – reliably and free of potential shifting errors. The ability to downshift up to 3 sprockets simultaneously with a single movement is particularly ideal for routes with slippery, undulating or otherwise unpredictable ground conditions.

With the disc brake caliper of the Ekar GT series, Campagnolo remains true to its commitment to continuous improvement, high performance and Italian style. The further development of the proven hydraulic system enables reliable and progressive modulation, which gives the rider a perfect feel for the surface structure of the road or terrain. This unmistakably precise feedback already characterized the predecessors, but only really comes into its own on Gravel tracks.

However, the innovations are not limited to the internal hydraulics. With its revised design and special finish, which integrates seamlessly into the range of Ekar GT components, the lightweight yet robust Flat Mount brake calliper is also visually impressive. The DB310 brake pads, which are also compatible with other Campagnolo disc brakes, have a unique organic compound that not only contributes to high braking performance, but also offers better wear resistance, which is all the more important in the demanding Gravel world – whether on dry or wet terrain.
