Technologies of the Orbea Gain D30

• ICR Plus Integration - Whether mechanical or electronic shifting: all cables, cables and lines run invisibly under the stem through the head tube into the frame. And all without additional friction or unpleasant rattling.
• Integrated lighting system - The fully integrated lighting system is another highlight with which the Gain enriches your tours. Thanks to lighting at the front and rear, the bike draws attention to you during the day and at night, ensuring additional safety. With continuous light and the optional high beam, the Vibe is ready for tours on the road.
• Integrated cover - The Gain only has a single external cable connection to allow the rear wheel to be removed. The cable runs tightly under the chainstay and is hidden behind an inconspicuously integrated protective cover. Access to the battery socket under the bottom bracket is also almost invisible and the cover on the stem ensures a seamless transition to the top tube.
• Mahle motor hub X35 Plus - The heart of the Gain is the rear hub motor. The sophisticated drive system provides reliable, smooth motor assistance at levels designed to make your ride easier, but not to dictate it. And because the motor is located directly on the rear hub, you can pedal when the motor is not in use without the feeling of being pulled along. The Gain has a highly developed algorithm for simulating the torque in order to optimally support the power applied to the pedals. In other words: this bike supports you exactly when you need it - and saves energy when you are pedaling without much effort anyway.
• X35 Integrated battery - The battery is one of the most conspicuous components of an e-bike system, which is why Orbea has done everything it can to make it as small, light and discreet as possible. The battery disappears elegantly into the frame.
• Range Extender Compatible - You have the option of attaching an optional external battery pack, which can be conveniently stored in the Gain's bottle cage if required and gives the bike even more range.
• IWOC One and Display - The control center of the Gain consists of an elegant and discreet button on the top tube and a bike computer installed on the stem. With the simple iWoc ONE interface, you can switch the system on or off, check the level of motor support and call up the remaining battery charge.
• Charging port - The Gain does not require many cables, ports or accessories. The CAN bus (Controller Area Network) connection is a single contact that is used for charging, system diagnostics and attaching the range extender.
• Pas sensor - The balanced, smooth motor support of the Gain requires a sophisticated sensor. A pedal sensor (PAS) is hidden inside the end ring of the cassette. It measures how much force you apply to the pedals and adjusts the motor power accordingly.
• Hydroformed aluminium - To make the aluminium frames stronger and minimize unwanted flex, Orbea adapts the shapes and wall thicknesses of the tubes accordingly. Many of the tubes are butted to save weight in less stressed areas.
• Orbea long-distance geometry - In contrast to the racing geometry, which is drilled to be particularly streamlined, this is a bike that is more relaxed to ride and thus increases endurance. Nevertheless, the bike can be controlled precisely and intuitively. The angles and dimensions have been carefully adapted for the various sizes available to maximize riding comfort. Because more comfort means longer tours.
