The 13-speed drivetrain system combines the lightweight and versatile mono chainring design with a broad selection of gear ratios so that every rider can choose from a wide range of options to best suit their needs. True to the spirit of the Gravel discipline as an inclusive dimension of modern cycling, which allows the flexibility to switch seamlessly between paved roads and unpaved trails – whether in minimalist race trim or fully equipped in Bikepacking mode.

All components of the Ekar GT series are characterized by a clever use of materials that combines lightweight construction with maximum durability. Thanks to the use of Ultra-Torque™ and Protech™ technology, the crankset with aluminum arms and a 2-piece stainless steel shaft guarantees optimum power transmission and the convenience of a very simple chainring change. No less well thought-out is the design of the rear derailleur, which consists of more than 70 carefully designed individual parts. The sum of these not only impresses with its low weight, enormous durability and high chain stability, but also ensures fast, precise and reliable shifting.

Coupled with the inimitable efficiency of the Ekar GT cassette, which is due to the smooth progression within the gear ratios, riders can always exploit the full potential of their bike, even on demanding routes. Optimally matched to the special tooth profile of chainrings and cassettes, the C13 chain not only stands out with its immense durability, but also makes an effective contribution to a smooth-running drivetrain system with fluid and fast gear changes. While the Ergopower (shift/)brake levers prioritize ergonomics and ease of use over short as well as long distances, the Flat Mount brake calipers focus on excellent modulation and deceleration performance.
