Magura CT – Ready for the City and beyond!

With a view to the high ease of maintenance, the latest coup of the brake specialists from Bad Urach is aimed primarily at commuters and recreational riders. The CT disc brakes, which are available with 2- and 4-piston calipers, are designed for Allroad use (City, Trekking, Touring) as well as light off-road use. In combination with the "Magura E-Bike Optimized" components (Sport brake pads and MDR-C / MDR-P brake disc rotors), they are also predestined for use on E-Bikes.

CT4 FM – Braking power & comfort for City & Trekking

The Magura CT4 is a comfortable and low-maintenance disc brake for urban use. With optimised brake lever ergonomics and a performance-oriented 2-piston brake caliper, it is the perfect all-rounder for city and all-road use. In addition, the Flat Mount version impresses with its slim and elegant design.

Comfortable ergonomics & carefree braking performance

The gear ratio and ergonomic features of the Magura CT brake levers are perfectly adapted to the requirements of city and all-road use. With a clearly defined pressure point, low manual force requirements and simple modulation, the brake levers convey safety and control in every situation.

The all-new axial master cylinder of the CT brake levers relies on an enlarged expansion reservoir, which reduces the occurrence of air in the system and ensures a long-term perfect function. The use of durable and quiet Magura Sport brake pads also underlines the orientation of the entire braking system towards low-maintenance durability.

Proven performance with 2-piston braking force

Based on the award-winning MT brake calipers, the Magura CT4 FM caliper with its 2 pistons also achieves the manufacturer's known outstanding braking performance, enabling safe stops in the city at all times. A high heat stability ensures an always predictable brake force distribution even during long and repeated decelerations. Despite its compact size, the slim Flat Mount version is in no way inferior to the "taller" Magura models in terms of performance.

If the braking power is combined with the "Magura E-Bike Optimized" components, the CT4 brake caliper also plays out its advantages to the full on electrically assisted bikes. The quiet Magura Sport brake pads score not only with their short braking time, but together with the stiffened MDR-P or MDR-C brake discs prevent premature wear to ensure a constant braking performance.

Carbotecture®

A mixture of high-tech polymers and carbon or glass fibers is transformed into a plastic granulate in several complex processes. During the processing from this granulate to the finished component, the carbon fibers are optimally aligned to the load requirements.

With this Carboflow process any desired shape can be produced from the granulate by injection moulding. Carbotecture® offers significant advantages over the classic lightweight material aluminum: Carbotecture® is 50 % lighter than aluminum with identical tensile and fracture strength, so it weighs only half as much.
