Feel electric. More control and integration on the next Gravel adventure – that is the promise of the electronic components of the RX825 series which expand Shimano's GRX family with the proven and at the same time improved Di2 functionality. In addition to an integrated wireless signal transmission unit, the compactly designed rear derailleur features an easily accessible connection for easy charging of the battery, which also supplies the front derailleur with power. An LED display provides information on the status of the battery, pairing and setting mode, among other things.

Matched to 2x12-speed drivetrains, the RD-RX825 rear derailleur in combination with cassettes that feature a gradation of 11-34 teeth (CS-R8101-12, sold separately) or 11-36 teeth (CS-HG710-12, sold separately) offers a wide range of ratios with which a comfortable cadence can be ridden in any terrain. To further improve adaptability, full and semi-synchronised shifting modes are also supported. Meanwhile, the integrated chain stabilizer of the Shadow RD+ rear derailleur not only guarantees safer chain management on changing surfaces, but also ensures quieter shifting processes. Whether in rough terrain or on slippery terrain, the adjustable chain tensioner can be activated or deactivated by a switch as required.

Shadow RD+ | Quiet drivetrain, less distraction. The Shadow RD+ system is lighter and more efficient than roller type chain devices. A rear derailleur stabilizer reduces chain slap and is a simple solution to prevent chain drop as well.
