34 Step-Cast – For the Rigors of Modern XC Racing

Stiffer, lighter and more grip. This is the 34 Step-Cast suspension fork from FOX, which has been developed from scratch to meet the tough demands of modern XC sports. Tailor-made, it combines uncompromising racing performance with unparalleled adjustability, stiffness and stability.

Exemplary of this passionate engineering is the shape of the arch and fork legs, which harmonize perfectly with current Trail bikes and skilfully increase strength with minimal use of materials. As a representative of the Factory series, this fork with the tried-and-tested FLOAT air suspension is of course also packed with functions. On the technical side, the powerful GRIP SL damping stands out in particular, offering an indescribable riding experience and effectively counteracting fatigue. With its smooth and extremely durable Kashima coating, the 34 Step-Cast is also visually impressive.

GRIP SL | Climb Faster. Descend Harder. Recover Quicker. This lightweight, short-stroke damping not only impresses in terms of weight savings, but also offers a ride feel that is second to none. Particular attention was paid to preventing fatigue. On the one hand, this is due to the smooth response paired with optimized, bob-free drive efficiency. On the other hand, the clever Blowoff function, available in Lockout mode, absorbs unexpected impacts. Ideal for Cross Country (XC, XCO, XCC).

Lower Leg Arch | This arch shape harmonizes perfectly with modern Trail bikes, where the head tube profiles are larger and the offset values are lower. In order to create sufficient clearance for the head tube at full compression, the arch is directed forwards. Countless hours of development work have resulted in an organic fork leg shape that guarantees optimum stiffness with absolutely minimal use of material.

Kabolt SL | Compared to the conventional Kabolt thru axle, the Super Light version saves a further 12 grams. This weight reduction is made possible not only by reducing the flange diameter, but also by eliminating the axle nut.
