Super Record Wireless – Shift Into New Dimensions
In the current generation, the premium model range of the brand from Vicenza again offers a dynamic riding experience and unparalleled performance. At the same time, the state-of-the-art wireless shifting technology sets standards in terms of precision for a perfect interaction between rider and road bike. In keeping with Campagnolo's "Dream Bigger" leitmotif, the Super Record WRL uses only the best materials: top-quality carbon fiber, titanium and aluminum ensure maximum functionality with minimum weight.
Campagnolo Super Record Wireless crankset
High Precision Power Measurement. The Super Record Wireless series powermeter crank incorporates all of Campagnolo's technical expertise. Reliable measurement results are ensured by high-frequency data acquisition (every 5 ms / 200 Hz) using 16 diamond-shaped strain gauges, which record the torque (Nm), as well as an integrated gyroscope, which determines the angular speed in real time. A special algorithm combines the numerous measured values for an incredibly accurate precision of +/- 1 %.
The powermeter, which is positioned in the crank star, is powered by a lithium polymer battery that uses the same magnetic connector as the other electronic Super Record Wireless components for charging. A full charge takes less than 4 hours and lasts for over a month of use. The My Campy 3.0 app for Android and iOS is not only for checking the charge status, the application can also be used to calibrate the spider-based powermeter system in just a few steps.
Technical details of the HPPM powermeter sensor:
- accuracy: +/- 1 %
- power measurement range: 0 – 4000 W
- cadence range: max. 250 rpm

The crankset tuned to the Super Record Wireless groupset combines Campagnolo's iconic design, characterized by its visible carbon fiber look, with exceptional drivetrain performance and unstoppable acceleration. The hollow construction makes the carbon crank arms not only light, but also extremely stiff. In combination with the Ultra Torque™ crankshaft made of titanium, it manages to transfer the entire power from the pedals to the drivetrain system with almost no loss.
To ensure that every watt of power reaches the road, the chainrings have also been trimmed for uncompromising efficiency. The innovative scheme with chainring graduations of 45/29, 48/32 and 50/34 teeth offers a wide range of gear ratios in synergy with the specially developed 12-speed cassettes (available separately). Another Campagnolo trademark are the smooth running properties of the Super Record crank which is ensured by friction-reduced and corrosion-resistant USB™ ceramic bearings.
Highlights of the Super Record crank:
- user-centric design, perfectly adapted to the Super Record Wireless groupset
- high-quality materials: UD carbon (crank arms), titanium (crankshaft), aluminum (chainrings)
- high stiffness for maximum performance at all times
- corrosion-resistant USB™ ceramic bearings for the most loss-free power transmission possible
- extremely smooth-running Ultra Torque™ crankshaft
- optimized design for each chainring combination
- inner chainring with symmetrical tooth shape
- smooth and precise drivetrain performance even with diagonal chain running
Note: The 45/29 tooth gradation is only compatible with components of the Campagnolo Super Record Wireless groupset.
Ultra Torque™ | The system, which uses two shaft halves that are inseparably connected to the respective crank arm, has nothing to fear from a comparison with an integral crankshaft in terms of torque transmission. A single oversize bolt ensures a firm connection, which also facilitates assembly. A larger diameter and the bearings located outside the bottom bracket shell, which allow for an increased support width, also make the entire construction stiffer. The Hirth spur gearing, which originates from engine construction, also benefits torsional rigidity and gives the Ultra Torque™ crankshaft self-aligning properties.
Ultra Smooth Bearings (USB™) | Campagnolo hubs and wheels have always been characterized by extremely smooth running and reliability. In order to offer the best of the best to ambitious road bike enthusiasts, the Campy Tech Lab™ has devoted itself to every detail with almost manic care in the development of the USB™ ceramic bearings. In order to reduce energy loss as much as possible and to enable an almost loss-free transfer of power to the road, absolutely smooth surfaces and minimal friction are required. With the USB™ deep groove ball bearings, maximum corrosion resistance and reduced weight are added to further increase competition performance. Comparative tests show that bearings with USB™ technology are 50 % smoother than standard bearings.
