Technologies of the Magura MT8 Raceline Carbon

Carbotecture® SL:

Compared to Magura's conventional Carbotecture® material, a mixture of high-tech polymers and carbon or glass fibers, Carbotecture® SL incorporates medium-length instead of short carbon fibers into the polyamides to further increase resistance while reducing weight. Compared to the classic lightweight material aluminum, Carbotecture® SL offers significant advantages: It is just as tensile and break-resistant with more than 50 % less weight.

Carbolay®:

Carbolay® is produced in a fully automated process in which the carbon fibers are positioned according to load via a textile process and impregnated with resin in a mold. In this way, brake levers can be produced in an appealing and ergonomically optimized shape, offering perfect finger force transmission through high rigidity and low weight.

Weight Ratio Performance:

Magura brakes are characterized by high thermal stability, which is achieved through optimum weight distribution. Optimum use of material where it is needed.

magnetiXchange:

Quick and easy to change, these are the magnetiXchange brake pads. Magnetic pistons guarantee a perfect fit of the brake pad in the brake calliper and very easy pad changes.

Shift Mix (optional):

With the help of the optional Magura Shift Mix lever clamps, Shimano (Shiftmix 1 + 2 / I-Spec I + II) and SRAM (Shiftmix 3 / X9, X0, XX) triggers can be mounted directly on the brake lever, making for a tidy cockpit.

Remote Mix (optional):

For an ergonomically optimized cockpit, the Magura Remote Mix lever clamp offers the option of mounting the RCL² remote control of Magura suspension forks directly on the brake lever. Mounting is possible on both sides.
