This air spring shock from FOX is a lightweight complete package to meet the demands of modern Trail mountain biking. As a representative of the Performance series, the FLOAT rear shock features a black anodized finish on the air chamber and body, which is used instead of the golden Kashima coating of the Factory models.

Evolved for Modern Trail Riders. The FLOAT rear shock skillfully closes the gap between the performance-focused FLOAT X and the extremely light FLOAT SL, but is by no means mediocre. Thanks to the large-volume EVOL air suspension, the rider can operate the shock with a lower air pressure, giving a more linear feel across the entire stroke spectrum. The result is a smoother ride over small bumps, better grip on the tires and an air spring damper that does not reach its limits even on demanding descents.
Ride without Compromise. Optimizing the suspension for riding on the Trail means creating a solid platform that allows efficient pedaling and climbing without compromising descending performance. With the help of reinforced valves and an oversize IFP piston, the FLOAT model not only has a wider tuning range, but also improved damping control that comes close to the downhill characteristics of the FLOAT X while being even more compact and lighter.
Trail Versatility in a XC Package. The air shock, which is suitable for both short, steep and long, extended tours, owes its low weight not least to its inline design and the construction without a Piggyback reservoir. The absence of the latter also offers more space for bottle cages and greater compatibility with a wide range of Trail and E-MTB frames.
