TRANSFER – The Overall Leader
Transfer Rises Again. FOX has used its experience from more than a decade of developing dropper posts to completely revise the popular Transfer model. The result is even smoother and more durable than ever before. While the simplified operation and greater tunability benefit handling, the redesign of internal components, hydraulics and seals not only improves ease of maintenance, but also increases the service life by a factor of six.
As a representative of the Performance Elite series, this dropper post is in no way inferior to the Factory models in terms of functionality. The difference lies in the black anodized finish for the upper tube, which is used instead of the golden Kashima coating.
Technical details of the FOX Transfer dropper post
- series: Performance Elite
- upper / lower tube: anodized (black)
- bushings: EKONOL (PTFE / teflon), metal-backed
- air pressure: adjustable via Schader valve
- cable routing: exclusively internal
- overall length / drop: can be reduced by up to 25 mm (in 5 mm increments)
- min. insertion depth: 100 mm
- saddle mounting: 2-bolt clamp head
- compatibility rails: round (⌀ 7 mm)*, obround (7 x 9 / 7 x 10 mm)
Stand Up To The Punishment. The completely revised hydraulics of the current Transfer seatpost have an equally new sealing system, which improves durability to such an extent that the maintenance interval is now 300 hours. In addition, the maintenance process can be carried out easily using standard tools. To facilitate operation, FOX has switched from IGUS to metal-backed EKONOL bushings, which ensure tight tolerances and the lowest possible friction.
Adjustable Air Pressure. The positioning of the newly designed air chamber makes it easy to regulate the air pressure using a Schrader valve located below the saddle clamping. This makes it possible to set the preferred return speed as well as to adapt to environmental factors such as altitude or temperature. The construction with the combination of metal valve cap and O-ring is borrowed from FOX suspension components and ensures that no air can escape.
2-Bolt Low Stack Head. The saddle mounting via two bolts and with a low stack height has been retained, as it is not only the most visually appealing solution, but also reduces the weight to a minimum. If you add the wide range of variants, which not only includes different diameters, but also an (adjustable) drop of up to 240 mm, the current Transfer series once again occupies a leading position in the competitive dropper post segment.
Scope of supply:
1 dropper seatpost (without handlebar remote)
