RED XPLR – Effortless Resilience. Effortless Precision.
Always in the right gear. With its 13-speed drivetrain system and wide gear range, the advanced RED XPLR AXS series is the spearhead of SRAM's Gravel lineup. While the close-ratio XG-1391 cassette ensures efficient propulsion in every situation, the durable Full Mount rear derailleur can withstand anything its rider throws at it. Complemented by significant weight savings ans brakes that can be operated with just one finger, the RED XPLR components allow the bike to fly over every route with full power.
SRAM RED XPLR crank
With the RED XPLR crank, Gravel bikers can also enjoy SRAM's extremely light yet stiff carbon crank arms. As a Wide model with a longer crankshaft and correspondingly wider chain line, it is ideal for frames that support greater tire clearance and therefore for those riders who prefer to ride on unpaved trails. Meanwhile, the tried-and-tested DUB™ technology contributes to greater durability of the entire system.
Features of the RED XPLR crank
- hollow carbon fiber crank arms for maximum weight reduction
- easy to handle and at the same time lighter thanks to single chainring design
- DUB™ bottom bracket technology for increased stiffness and durability
- SRAM 8-Bolt interface for attaching a Direct Mount chainring or (Powermeter) spider
DUB™ | The unit of bottom bracket and oversize crank shaft (⌀ 28.99 mm) is at the heart of the DUB™ (Durable Unified Bottom Bracket) technology, which allows a symbiosis between stiffness and durability. The system approach created by integrating the chainring, crank, shaft and bottom bracket not only improves durability thanks to an optimized seal, but also raises the performance of the drivetrain to a new level.
