Shimano SM-RT70 Brake Disc - Centerlock | Ice-Tech | with Magnet

The lightweight SM-RT70 brake disc from Shimano promises not only powerful but also consistent braking performance under all conditions. This is due not least to the sandwich construction (stainless steel - aluminum - stainless steel) on which the Ice-Tech design is based and which ensures a significant improvement in thermal dissipation. In conjunction with Ice-Tech brake pads (available separately), heat development in the brake system can be reduced even further. The result is high deceleration performance with virtually no tendency to fade.

The lock ring of the brake rotor with Centerlock mount features an integrated magnet and is compatible with the EW-SS302 speed sensor (not included).

Ice Technologies | To counteract fading and keep the braking performance consistently high during prolonged continuous operation, Shimano has developed the Ice-Tech cooling technology for brake discs and pads. Thanks to their sandwich structure with two stainless steel layers around an aluminum core, rotors with Ice Technologies reduce the surface temperature and dissipate heat accordingly better.
