Several years of research produced the innovations that make the Shimano Dura Ace R9200 even faster. Every component has been reworked, refined and optimized to give you that decisive seconds advantage - whether as a breakaway from the peloton or in the final sprint on the Champs-Élysées.

The electronic Di2 components use wireless technology where it counts to make shifting even faster and more reliable. The Hyperglide+ system, already familiar from the MTB segment, is also aimed at smooth shifting, bringing out the maximum performance and full potential of every racer.

Shimano Dura Ace FC-R9200-P Powermeter crankset

The Shimano Dura Ace FC-R9200-P crankset performs two crucial tasks: It converts pedal power into propulsion and ensures extremely fast and precise shifting.

The integrated power meter also sets standards in terms of power measurement with an optimized accuracy of ±1.5 %. It records the cadence data and the resulting values on both sides, i.e. independently for the left and right leg. Thanks to its design, the data is collected free from external influences such as incline, road surface or wind.

Not only the lightweight crank arms manufactured using Hollowtech II technology contribute to the effective drive, but also the uniquely designed chainrings, which have a Hollowglide hollow construction and ensure fast and smooth shifting. The result is responsive acceleration from any speed, which ensures the 2x12-speed crankset an absolute top position.

Hollowtech II

The leitmotif of Shimano's Hollowtech II technology is the perfect balance between stiffness, stability, weight and rotational efficiency.

The aim was to produce a crank that minimizes the effort required for the drivetrain and enables more efficient power transmission. An exclusive forging process enables the production of extremely light crank arms that still guarantee maximum rigidity. The fixed connection of the right arm to the axle of the bottom bracket and its external bearing also serve to achieve an optimum ratio between stiffness and low weight.
