Durable trekking shorts in wind- and water-resistant G-1000® Original, double-layered in the seat area for extra durability. All the things that should always be at hand disappear in the numerous practical pockets: two slide-in pockets, a large map pocket with flap and inside cell phone pocket on the right leg, as well as two leg pockets and an axe pocket on the left leg. G-1000 - Perhaps the best outdoor material in the world

With G-1000 you're ready for adventures in all climates, from the tropics to the polar regions. The fabric can withstand years of heavy use far off the beaten track. The fact that G-1000 is also adaptable to the weather probably makes it one of the best outdoor materials available.
G-1000 is made from a blend of polyester and cotton that has been waxed with a thin layer of Greenland Wax. The wax gives the material extra protection from dirt, wind and moisture and can easily be applied thicker or washed out as needed.



Durable: G-1000 is extremely abrasion resistant: it is more than twice as durable as denim fabric. This high durability, combined with low weight, makes G-1000 garments ideal for travel and outdoor activities.
Water-repellent: Garments in G-1000 treated with Greenland Wax are highly resistant to rain and moisture. This means that you stay dry during short rain showers. If the material does get really wet, it dries quickly.
Windproof: Due to its dense weave, G-1000 is almost completely windproof. Impregnated, this material is an excellent protection against biting wind.
Breathable: One of the most outstanding features of G-1000 fabric is its superior breathability: it effectively wicks away body moisture, which is especially beneficial during sweaty outdoor activities.
Mosquito-proof: the dense fabric keeps mosquitoes and other flying pests away from the skin, which is very comfortable in the mountains, in the forest or when traveling to warm countries. G-1000 Lite is not mosquito proof.
UV Protection: The dense fabric provides almost 100% protection from the alpha and beta rays of the sun.
