With their trend-setting high-profile concept, which still characterizes the market today, they played a pioneering role. It goes without saying that the current Shamal model aims to build on this success story. And it is not just outstanding handling in all conditions as well as durability and ease of maintenance that contribute to this, but also a perfect balance that finds the ideal sweet spot between convenience and performance.
Superior Handling In All Conditions. As with its ancestor, the shape of the rim is a decisive factor. The "Dual Profile" design, which is characterized by an alternating rim height (40 and 45 mm), has been tested in the wind tunnel and has proven itself on the road. The result is superior controllability at any speed and regardless of the external conditions, without neglecting comfort.
Enduring Peak Performance. On the technical side, the carbon rims also feature the proven 2-Way Fit technology, which enables the mounting of clincher, folding and Tubeless tires with 28 mm and more, thanks to the C23 inner width. Visually, the rims stand out with the Campagnolo Luxury Finish, or C-LUX for short. Its mirrored surface is not only an eye-catcher, it also ensures a lower weight and improved impermeability when using Tubeless tires.
Optimal Compliance For All Roads. In order to noticeably improve stiffness and therefore also energy transfer, the aluminum hubs in monolithic design are combined with the iconic G3™ spoke geometry. This is not only used on the rear wheel, where it compensates for the stresses caused by braking and riding forces, but also on the front wheel to optimize performance, especially under high braking loads. The use of conical bearings in turn ensures superior smoothness.

2-Way Fit™ | An innovative rim profile on which both Tubeless tires and classic clincher tires can be mounted. With 2-Way Fit™, everyone can try out for themselves which of the two solutions suits them better. It is also possible to mount the wire bead or folding tires for daily training and use the Tubeless solution for the competition day. The Tubeless tire is undoubtedly the tire of the future for road cycling. In addition to greater comfort, better rolling characteristics due to the complete elimination of friction between the tire and inner tube are another advantage of the Tubeless tires. They are also protected against sudden air loss. And if you do get a puncture, the 2WF system allows you to simply remove the sealing valve and fit a normal inner tube for a trouble-free ride home.
C-LUX Finish | An evolution of the already premium finish of Campagnolo carbon rims. The glossy, mirror surface is not only high quality, but also so flawlessly smooth that it requires no paint, saving weight. In addition, C-LUX technology ensures an extremely secure fit of Tubeless tires by increasing pressure sealing, making mounting easier and reducing the risk of abrasion on the rim bead.
G3™ Spoke Geometry | Campagnolo's iconic spoke geometry breaks with the conventional arrangement at road bike wheels. The groups of three parallel spokes are arranged in a 2:1 ratio from the hub. Due to the double number of spokes on one side, wheels with G3™ technology achieve a perfect balance of tension, which increases stiffness and improves power transmission. In addition, the triplet pattern reduces the occurrence of vibrations and micro-deformations of the rim under tension. While the rear wheel has more spokes on the drive side to absorb the forces that occur when pedaling and act on the cassette, the opposite is true for the front wheel, where the braking load is the decisive factor that needs to be absorbed.
MoMag™ | With the help of the patented "mounting magnet", the nipples previously inserted through the valve opening in the rim are guided to the corresponding opening. This allows the upper rim web to remain closed and clamping can be carried out from the outside. The closed rim bed not only has the advantage of greater stability, but also eliminates the need for rim tape when using clincher and folding tires, which in turn saves weight. The spokes can be tensioned tighter and changed more easily, the wheel is both stiffer and more resistant and the response is ultimately better.
The wheels are assembled entirely by hand by a specialist and 100 % checked using electronically controlled instruments. This process ensures the maximum performance and reliability of all Campagnolo wheels.
