Designed to reduce high-frequency oscillation of the bicycle steering assembly, known as speed wobble. Cane Creek’s engineering and product development team did all the hard work for you – just enjoy the ride. All Hellbender 70 Visco headsets are assembled with a “mid-tune” damping setting preset. If you need to increase or decrease the level of damping all Hellbender 70 Visco headsets are tunable to fit your personal needs.

The name ZS44 describes the semi integrated (also known as press fit or zero stack) 1 1/8" Ahead headset for frames with a 28.6 mm inner diameter head tube. The S.H.I.S. denotation (see attachment) of the lower part offered here is ZS44/28.6.
