Shimano Dura Ace FC-R9200 crankset

The Shimano Dura Ace FC-R9200 crankset performs two crucial tasks: It converts pedal power into propulsion and ensures extremely fast and precise shifting. This is due not only to the lightweight crank arms manufactured using Hollowtech II technology, but also to the uniquely designed chainrings, which have a Hollowglide hollow construction and ensure fast and smooth shifting. The result is responsive acceleration from any speed, which ensures that the 2x12-speed crankset is an absolute top performer.

Hollowtech II

The leitmotif of Shimano's Hollowtech II technology is the perfect balance between stiffness, stability, weight and rotational efficiency.

The aim was to produce a crank that minimizes the effort required for the drivetrain and enables more efficient power transmission. An exclusive forging process enables the production of extremely light crank arms that still guarantee maximum rigidity. The fixed connection of the right arm to the axle of the bottom bracket and its external bearing also serve to achieve an optimum ratio between stiffness and low weight.
