When developing the BITURBO CARGO, bike ahead composites worked very closely with various cargo bike manufacturers and Kvirder (the cargo bike specialist from Frankfurt am Main). This is because performance, weight saving and durability come together in extreme variants. The design is geared towards dynamic power distribution, especially with heavier loads. As a result, a 26 mm hookless rim was chosen that can withstand any road terrain.

Thanks to their many years of experience, bike ahead composites were able to develop a very stable wheel, which is of course certified according to the latest Zedler cargo bike standards. Due to the monocoque construction, the rim is very light and the rotating masses are only in the center of the wheel. This results in an extreme performance boost, which not only saves leg power but also battery power on e-bikes.
