Break The Mold. To make its current carbon rims a real eye-catcher, DT Swiss had to break new ground. The PURE Carbon manufacturing process, which is unique in the industry, ensures durable yet lightweight rims thanks to maximum compression of the carbon layers. No final work step is required to finish the surfaces, as the rims come straight out of the mold and are ready for immediate use. The XMC 320 model has already proven its qualities with the XMC 1200 wheels from DT Swiss.

PURE Carbon Technology | Traditionally the industry standard constructs the parts of a carbon rim separately. This can lead to irregularities when the components are joined together. With the PURE Carbon process, DT Swiss is now able to produce highly robust rims that are very impact-resistant. The fibers of the outer layer are not cut and therefore form continuous units in highly stressed areas. The result: a significantly more uniform structure with minimal imperfections.
Tubeless Straight Side (TSS) | Hookless Tubeless or Tubeless Straight Side describes the design of the rims. Tubeless-compatible rims can be ridden without a tube, but a setup with a tube is also possible. Hookless or Straight Side describes the shape of the rim flange, which in this case is straight and designed without the classic hook. This design offers advantages in terms of greater impact resistance of carbon rim flanges and allows a tire pressure of up to 5 bar.

Note: Hookless rims are specifically designed for use with Tubeless tires. It is also possible to ride a Tubeless-specific tire with a tube. However, the use of clincher or folding tires is not recommended.
