• Vibram rubber sole with EVA midsole: The EVA midsole provides stability and cushioning, while the Vibram Megagrip rubber tread ensures grip and traction in all ground conditions.
• Cleat profile: The cleat profile was developed for secure grip on normal pedals. The pattern and depth have been designed to grip softer ground, but also provide good grip on smooth surfaces.
• Extended cleat rail: The X2 has an extended cleat rail for more flexibility when choosing cleat placement.

During development, conscious attention was paid to reducing weight and eliminating excess material that would otherwise lead to the bulky look and loose fit of many mountain bike shoes.
