The ZR1 SL hub combines high performance with durability. The "Super Light" version is derived from the base model, but has a lighter hub shell and bearing system. With an overall weight reduction of 30 grams, the reliable aluminum hub is the perfect addition to the performance-oriented NSW wheels from ZIPP. In addition to their low weight, the ceramic hybrid bearings offer noticeable advantages in terms of rolling behavior.

The SL version is also extremely easy to maintain. This is not only due to the fact that it shares end caps, axles and freewheel bodies with the ZR1 standard hub, but also to the design for J-Bend spokes, which are both widely used and easy to replace. The freewheel of the rear hub is equipped with 6 pawls, which are offset in 2 groups. In this way, 3 pawls engage at any moment, providing overall 66 points of engagement for quick response at all times.
