34 SL – Unequaled XC Capability
The FOX 34 SL delivers unprecedented XC performance in a 34 full size chassis. Designed for the most technical World Cup XC trails and demanding downcountry riding, the 34 SL offers more stiffness, more comfort and minimal weight increase compared to the 34 Step-Cast fork.
As a representative of the Factory series, this fork with the proven FLOAT air suspension is of course also packed with features. On the technical side, the XC-focused GRIP X damping stands out in particular, which shows its strengths not only on the long haul, but also in Downhill use.
The new design of the fork crown increases torsional stiffness by 17% compared to the previous XC fork (Fox 34 Step-Cast). The 34 SL also impresses with reduced friction and smoother suspension. The down tubes impress with clever detail solutions. The chassis impresses with clever detail solutions, such as the "Bypass" channels in the dip tubes, which prevent the air pressure from rising so that the maximum suspension travel can always be accessed. With its smooth and extremely durable Kashima coating, the 34 is also visually impressive.

GRIP X | Uncompromized All-Mountain Performance. Downhill-oriented or rather light and suitable for long distances? Thanks to the GRIP X damping, trail bikers no longer have to decide. The versatile damper combines unparalleled Downhill performance with low weight and easy adjustability, which also offers a fixed mode for efficient pedaling on climbs.
Arch Against | The 34 SL triple clamp, optimized by FOX engineers, wraps around the lower part of the fork and contributes to a 17% increase in torsional stiffness over the previous XC fork, the 34 Step-Cast. Cut-outs at strategic points help to minimize weight.
Lower Leg Bypass Channels | Air pressure increases during compression, which can result in the fork not reaching its full travel. Channels in the dip tubes solve this problem by significantly increasing the air volume. This not only reduces the occurrence of unwanted pressure increases, but also allows the oil to circulate to the upper areas of the dip tubes, keeping the inner seals and bushings lubricated at all times.
