This cassette-compatible hub from the CUES series was specially designed for use with Shimano's AUTO SHIFT function. The Q'AUTO technology of the FH-U6060 rear hub enables automatic shifting via the Di2 system – without the need for a battery, thanks to an integrated dynamo function for autonomous power generation. With the help of 3 sensors for real-time detection of speed, cadence and incline, the intelligent hub shifts precisely while the rider is pedaling. But that's not all. An adaptive learning function receives the user's manual gear changes in order to adapt the shifting behavior individually on this basis. The result is a particularly smooth and pleasant driving experience that is perfectly tailored to the individual rider.
Q'AUTO – Self-Powered, Automatic Di2 Shifting
Just Ride. Q'AUTO combines the fun and simplicity of non-electric cycling with the automatic shifting technology previously reserved for E-Bikes. Thanks to cutting-edge hardware and software, a completely new style of cycling is created that enables advanced shifting without having to worry about a battery.
- Always in the right gear. Q'AUTO shifts automatically, gear by gear, so you never have to worry again about jerky gear changes or possible damage to the chain. Pure riding pleasure!
- No battery. No charging. No worries. Q'AUTO collects energy while you ride and stores the power needed for shifting. With no battery to charge, maintain or recycle, you can focus on the ride. Ready when you are.
- The technology for carefree riding. If the automatically selected gear does not suit the situation – no problem! Simply use the shift buttons to select the right gear and Q'AUTO learns from this to make your next ride even more harmonious. After about six kilometers, you will notice how Q'AUTO evolves to adapt optimally to your riding style.
AUTO SHIFT | This function measures the rider's pedal stroke dynamics to decide on the right gear ratio and automatically perform gear changes. When cadence and speed decrease and torque increases, the system selects an easier gear. When starting off and accelerating, the system automatically shifts up again. This not only increases riding comfort, but also ensures a smooth and even cadence when climbing and descending.
LinkGlide | This technology enables smoother, quieter pedaling and gear changes that are barely noticeable. The drivetrain is exceptionally durable, withstands daily wear and tear and offers good shifting and pedaling characteristics for a long time, especially for multi-purpose bikes and high-torque e-bikes. The optimized design of the LinkGlide shifting aids ensures a smoother transition between the sprockets to avoid jumps that can affect shifting and a smooth pedal stroke. The redesigned LinkGlide sprockets themselves have a much stronger base and a unique chamfer that dramatically improves wear resistance in high torque applications.
