The DT Swiss ARC 1400 DICUT 62 were developed to achieve one thing - speed! The wheels have a AERO+ rim profile and come with DICUT Aero hubs. The disc brake version with 62mm high rims sets new standards in terms of aerodynamics and handling. In close cooperation with the aero experts at SWISS SIDE, it has been possible to reduce wind sensitivity in crosswinds and improve the overall aerodynamics of the wheels. In moderate crosswinds, the rider benefits from propulsion through the sail effect as well as a stable aerodynamic position with full check of the bike. High-quality DT Swiss Aero spokes and the lightweight 240 DICUT Aero hub for a direct drive unit round off this wheelset.

By combining new and proven Aero components, road cyclists benefit from maximum check in many riding situations and at high speeds. Thanks to the AERO+ rim, optimum aerodynamics are ensured through lower air resistance, as well as controllable handling due to the reduced steering torque. In addition, the shape of the rim can create a forward-pushing sailing effect in crosswinds.
The profiles of the rims have been specially developed for Tubeless use. They guarantee a perfect fit and make installing the tires as easy as possible. Nevertheless, it is always possible to use a conventional combination of tires and inner tube.
The wheels were built with the DT aero comp T-Head spokes - the ideal compromise between aerodynamics and strength. In a two-stage manufacturing process, the spokes are first compacted (cold forging process) and then solidified a second time in the subsequent flat forging process (bladed).
Compared to the previous 240 aerodynamics hub, the silhouette of the hub body has been reduced and thus aerodynamically improved. It also impresses with simple, tool-free maintenance and excellent durability.
DT Swiss Hubs are known for the No-Tool concept. The concept allows tool-free conversion to all common axle and freewheel body standards. All DT Swiss Ratchet System hubs can be converted.
Ratchet EXP Technology
The Ratchet System EXP hubs are unique in that all the teeth of the two disks engage simultaneously every time. In the case of pawl hubs, the engagement surface is quite small. With the Ratchet System, on the other hand, the entire end faces engage with each other, which ensures a much lower point load. The result is the legendary reliability of Ratchet System hubs.
Compared to the original Ratchet System, the integration of toothed washer and threaded ring in the EXP System reduces the number of components, thus reducing weight and increasing service life. The use of a single cylindrical spring allows faster, complete engagement and therefore offers greater reliability. The integration of the drive side bearing into the threaded ring increases the bearing spacing, which increases the hub stiffness by 15 %.
