It is packed to the brim with the technological edge needed to push boundaries on today's extremely demanding courses. To convert every watt pumped into the pedals into propulsion with extreme efficiency, it is lighter, more comfortable, more robust and more versatile.

Starting with a braking system that was already the benchmark among mountain bike braking systems, Shimano engineers reworked the design of the XTR 9100 brake levers. Changed were for the BL-M9120 levers both the clamp and the grip body itself. The clamp moves further into the center of the handle and is angled. This cleverly supports the outer end of the balance tank directly on the handlebar and creates an additional abutment when operating the lever.

This significantly increases the stiffness and stability, which ultimately leads to an even more direct brake feel and better controllability. Thus, the BL-M9120 is also 8% stiffer compared to its predecessor. The grip width of the Enduro brake lever specially developed to work with the BR-M9120 4-piston caliper can be adjusted without tools. In addition, the Servo Wave brake lever has an additional adjustment option for the empty travel. Servo Wave technology provides smooth and predictable braking with the right balance of performance and durability. Thanks to I-Spec EV design, the XTR SL-M9120 shift levers can be mounted directly to the brake lever.
