Super Record 13 – In Every Shift. We Do One More.
Since its introduction in 1973, the legendary Super Record series has repeatedly redefined the limits of performance in cycling sports. Developed in collaboration with professional athletes, the current iteration is now set to take on a leading role in terms of shifting speed, ergonomics and handling.
The New Standard in Performance. While gear changes are even faster than with the previous 12-speed components, a wide range of gear ratio options ensures that every rider finds the optimum cadence. However, the Super Record 13 groupset embodies more than just an additional sprocket. It represents a completely new performance concept that forms the platform for Campagnolo's future developments.
More Choice. More Control. Following the launch of the classic 2-speed drivetrain system for road bikes, Campagnolo is expanding the Super Record 13 portfolio to include other areas of application. The introduction of specialized rear derailleur options not only forms the basis for a dedicated 1x13-speed road bike drivetrain, but also for a 2x13-speed Allroad version and the Super Record X model series, which also relies on a 1-speed drivetrain system and clearly focuses on Gravel use. A TT version for time trials and triathlons is also already in the starting blocks.
Campagnolo Super Record X rear derailleur
With the Super Record X components, Campagnolo is expanding its platform for 13-speed drivetrain systems with a genuine Gravel option. One of the core elements of the corresponding rear derailleur is the special geometry with a carbon cage extended to 92.5 mm, which is compatible with cassettes of up to 48 teeth and thus also meets the requirements of very steep climbs. And although the model optimized for Gravel sports is very similar to its road bike counterpart in terms of dimensions and weight, its cage is unparalleled when it comes to impact resistance and stiffness. The chain line of 47.5 mm is also perfectly matched to modern Gravel frames, although it is also possible to use the rear derailleur in combination with the mono chainring crank designed for road bikes and a 45.8 mm chain line.
What sets the Super Record X model apart from the initial 13-speed rear derailleur, however, is the NANO Clutch technology. This micro-clutch maintains chain tension even on uneven terrain and bumpy descents. This not only noticeably increases stability, but also effectively prevents the chain from jumping off the chainring. The result is an incomparably fast, precise and quiet shifting performance, which also meets the requirements of demanding cyclists who do not want to compromise.
The new derailleur architecture with a positioning under the cassette not only enables an aesthetic focused on the essentials, but also improves aerodynamics and ensures perfect alignment between derailleur pulleys and sprockets. The two derailleur pulleys themselves support an increase in efficiency when changing gears, but feature a different profile to ensure optimum chain guidance across the entire gear range. While the upper, eccentric guide pulley with 12 teeth maintains the optimum distance even with large gearing, the lower, larger guide pulley with 16 teeth promotes smooth chain running. An ideal prerequisite for reliable shifting, even under load.
The construction of the Super Record X rear derailleur also reflects Campagnolo's commitment to excellence. Accordingly, the inner cage and the front are made of carbon with a direct-mold finish, while the components are made of anodized aluminum with laser engraving. Even the brand logo is an unmistakable design element, expressing the attention to detail that has always characterized Campagnolo.

NANO Clutch | Campagnolo has developed this micro clutch based on experience with the Ekar series. The system secures the chain in all conditions and ensures perfect tension at all times. No chain drops, no compromises. Just smooth and precise shifting, even when you're pushing your limits.
Unlock System | This function allows the rear derailleur to be manually unlocked and moved to the preferred position in the event of a system malfunction. Re-engagement is also possible while using the lever to shift up.
